The Hotel Augustea is in the centre of Rome, one of the best-loved cities in the world.
Our hotel is right in the centre of this wonderful city, close to some of the symbols of the city itself, places by which it is recognised the world over. Just a stone’s throw away from the Augustea Hotel, for example, is Piazza della Repubblica, known locally as Piazza Esedra, surrounded by a marvellous semi-circular colonnade.
Also close to the Hotel Augustea is Piazza Barberini, at the centre of which is Gian Lorenzo Bernini’s Tritone fountain, a place that entered into the collective imagination thanks to Fellini's famous film 'La Dolce Vita'.
Another place of interest is the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, reachable on foot in less than ten minutes. One of Rome's four Papal Basilicas, it was built between 432 and 440 A.D..
